About Pure Memorial

Pure Memorial was made with love and respect.

The idea was born on the day our founder couldn't be at a beloved grandmother's funeral — and felt how much a place to say goodbye was missing: somewhere to share a photo, a memory, a few words with the rest of the family.

So we made one. A calm page where anyone, wherever they live, can honour the people who are no longer beside us — and find the way to where they rest.

What we promise

  • A quiet page without ads, for everyone who loved them.
  • No memorials for the living: every Verified page has been checked against a death certificate, and the certificate is never shown.
  • Memories and photos are checked before they appear, and the page's creator can remove any of them.
  • What you create stays yours. You can download everything at any time, and delete your account with all its memorials, photos and documents.

How it works explains verification and who can see a page in detail.

When something is deleted

When you delete a photo or a memorial, or make a page private, it disappears from Pure Memorial straight away. A few copies outside our control take longer:

  • photos kept by browsers and our delivery network — up to an hour;
  • the preview card shown when the link is shared — up to a week;
  • previews already posted in messengers and social networks, and search results, which those services update on their own schedule.

Anything a visitor saved or screenshotted while the page was open is beyond anyone's reach, so think before making a page public.
